Late Ms. Monali Gorhe

   Ms. Monali Gorhe was humble, kind and a truly warm person. She was an excellent coach, wonderful daughter and an amazing friend, just like anyone would wish for. She was a beloved coach among all the shooters. She was strict at times, very discipline oriented and yet a warm and loving coach. Monali ma’am cared about athletes as her own. She always tried to help athletes not only in the sport but in their personal life as well. She was a true embodiment of the word ‘Mentor’.
    With bachelors in English Travel and tourism, physical Education and communication and journalism as well as masters in Physical Education
  Ms. Monali was highly educated with Bachelors in English, Travel and tourism, Bachelors and Masters in Physical Education and Bachelor in Communication and Journalism. Her diverse education helped her understand athletes on a personal level and connect with them better.
   Throughout her career, she has trained and helped many athletes, especially shooters in the direction of pursuing their dream. With her passion, hardwork and kind nature, she truly touched so many lives.

Career

   Starting her shooting journey in 1999 under the guidance of Mr. Bhishmaraj Bam at XL Target Shooters Association, Ms. Monali began professional coaching around 2006 as a coach at Fravashi International Academy. During her time there, she worked with Maharashtra Shooting Team as Chief Pistol Coach. Under her guidance and coaching, many Maharashtra Pistol Team shooters won medals and broke personal records as well.
   As an ISSF B licenced coach, ISSB Judge (Pistol) and many recognised certifications such as ISSF C Coaches course,Asian Coaching Course, NIS coach (Pistol) and IOC/ISSF National Training System Development Diploma in Finland, she debuted as an international coach with National Shooting Federation Sri Lanka as Pistol coach of Sri lanka Shooting federation during 2015-16. Later, she was appointed as an accredited coach for the Indian Shooting Team in November 2016.
   During her coaching journey, she had an opportunity to work with Ronak Pandit at Chiplun where they prepared many national shooters as well as Oly. Gagan Narang at Olympic Medalist’s academy Gun for Glory as an Assistant Coach to Anatoli (a Ukrainian Pistol Coach) with India’s Top Shooters. Along with coaching, she also worked as an ISSF Judge in the World Cup Shooting Competition 2019, New Delhi.
